Strata8’s Newly-Launched Enterprise Cellular Service to be Honored During CTIA Wireless 2008 in Las Vegas.
BELLEVUE, Wash. – March 18, 2008 – Strata8 Networks, a service provider offering cellular services over licensed spectrum in key markets throughout the United States, today announced that it is a finalist for the “Most Innovative Business Application” Andrew Seybold Choice Award. Strata8’s Enterprise Cellular service will be honored at the 18th Annual Andrew Seybold Wireless Dinner at CTIA Wireless 2008 in Las Vegas on April 1.
Strata8 Networks, one of the first enterprise-focused cellular carriers, recently launched its Enterprise Cellular service, saving companies thousands of dollars per month on wireless costs. The Enterprise Cellular service works by allowing companies to use cell phones at the office under the same cost structure as landline phones. The service also provides increased enterprise security and control, as well as a platform for the integration of enterprise business processes.

The Andrew Seybold Choice Awards are presented annually to honor products and services that have positively impacted the wireless industry with their innovative significance. Each year, companies from around the world nominate visionary wireless products and service that promote positive progress on wireless mobility. More than 150 entries were submitted worldwide and finalists were judged, evaluated and selected based on a defined set of criteria. All nominations submitted must have been commercially deployed between February 15, 2007 and February 15, 2008.
Strata8 launched its state-of-the-art service in January, designed specifically for the unique cellular needs of enterprises. Local enterprise coverage areas are configured using picocell technology with cellular calls routed through the enterprise PBX. Cellular phones are utilized in the same way as desk phones, but billed at rates that are up to 80 percent less than traditional cellular calls.
